Table Nook Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your use of the Table Nook platform ("Table Nook", "we", "us") at tablenook.com and any subdomains. By signing up for or using Table Nook, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The service

Table Nook provides multi-tenant hosting for tabletop gaming venues ("Tenants"). Each Tenant operates a public marketing site, a scheduling system, and tools used by Tenant administrators and game masters. Each Tenant is responsible for the content it publishes on its own subdomain or custom domain.

2. Accounts

Identity is managed through our auth provider (Clerk). You must keep your credentials secure and notify us of any unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed under your account.

3. Tenants and tenant data

If you create a Tenant on Table Nook, you (the Tenant administrator) are responsible for the data you publish there, including marketing copy, game listings, and game-master profiles. You retain ownership of that content. You grant us a license to host, transmit, and display that content as required to operate the Service.

4. Acceptable use

You will not:

• use the Service to publish unlawful, infringing, or harassing content;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to other Tenants' data;
• circumvent rate limits, billing, or other technical protections;
• use the Service to send unsolicited bulk communications.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

5. Fees and billing

Paid subscription tiers may be introduced. We will give reasonable advance notice of pricing changes. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your use of the Service.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by Table Nook and its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

7. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. You may exercise your data-access and data-erasure rights via the privacy request form.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request that your data be anonymized at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms or where required by law.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Table Nook will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenues, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms is limited to the amounts you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD $100, whichever is greater.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Table Nook harmless from claims arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified via the Service or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Table Nook operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
